May she rest in peace.  It is times like these that we can reflect how she lived her life.  She seemed gracious, fun spirited, and talented, with the brightest smile.

Wouldn't the world be more beautiful with more people like her?

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Honestly, all of my favorite celebrities dying while still doing things makes me want to take care of myself and take risks no matter my age too. We need more people in the world that have a big heart, focus on spreading kindness and making the world a better place to live in.

I've never cried over a celebrity (even though I have been extremely sad before).

I've been a lifelong fan and have been going to Dollywood for the past 20 years regularly (since I was 6) and have seen her twice, so many moments in my life have involved her in some way. I am literally shattered.

F**K CANCER.

I saw someone complain people were saying she was pro-BLM but had done nothing like she didn't invest her I will always love you royalties into black tennessee communities.

Why hasn't Gaga said anything yet :messga:

I really hope she's' preparing a tribute performance.

I believe this is her legacy and even if just a quarter of her fans carry this on, the world will progressively become a better place

Came here to say this just now.  Of course, shes in no way obligated, but Dolly’s impact on female song writers/singers in ANY genre, not to mention her positive impact on culture, is just too great for someone like Gaga to sit by quietly and not at least quickly publicly acknowledge.

I’ll never understand terminally online folks’ obsession with the never-ending purity test for people, particularly when the person they’re testing (checks notes) just fcking died

That's a good mindset to have! Dolly has always told good life lessons and delivered them in such sensible, fun ways. Seeing so many clips of her recently has reinforced many of these lessons to me. I think she's a great role model, especially in regard to living a good, kind, whole life that feels comfortable to you, no matter what it looks like.
