Justice for the original Mayhem font that couldn’t be used on any of the tour stuff because of those dickwads

I kind of prefer the new one because it matches the tour aesthetic more tbh :poot:

I thought it was confirmed that wasn't the reason they didn't use it for the tour and the real reason was the aesthetic :wtfga:

She still used the original font for other stuff during the era like that merch tent she had during the promo shows

Too bad the era is dead so she can’t put the logo up all over … in the town of the surfboard company lol

I might need a hero to save me from breaking

This lawsuit was dead on arrival 💀

It’s copyright 101 that trademark alone isn’t absolute and won’t protect you against everything, especially when it’s not even the same product category (the album and tour name, for instance). And I get the impulse of trying to go after Gaga for the merch since they do have the trademark for clothing, but it’s pretty obvious such items are here as part of the album and we’re not made with the intent of confusing consumers. It’s honestly embarrassing that they went through all this without submitting evidence that their claims where legit.

I feel like their lawyer would have already told them about this. But they just greedy, they probably saw it was Lady Gaga and thinks it's an opportunity

Also copyright of merchandise only falls under the misconception and conflation of branding. Nobody is buying a Mayhem T-shirt from The Mayhem Ball or LadyGaga.com thinking it’s for the surf company :rip:

If anything SHE should sue them because people are more likely to think it’s a Gaga surfboard

I bet their asses were embarrassed af when the judges asked for the evidence there was confusion amongst the two and they submitted squat. It’s clear as day they aren’t related

Precisely I can’t imagine they had anybody say “oh I bought this t-shirt from Lady Gaga’s website thinking it was yours”

Even funnier that Gaga’s lawyer actually submitted evidence of customers from Lost saying their lawsuit was stupid and no one was confused. Like bro your own clients are proving you wrong lol

Yeah I feel she doesn’t give that many ****s about fonts, rather how it fits the particular vibe.
