Obviously not posting in on here for copyright but you can find it if you look up CYBERLEEK — the hackers leaking it.

I’ve looked at it and all I can say is, graphically it’s great but the gameplay seems identical to GTA 5  

Apparently they’re leaking it because of Rockstar’s decision to make the game digital only.

I just think it’s so irritating that they spent over 10 years and made the most expensive video game ever, for it to be the exact same gameplay and all their investment having gone to cosmetic things.

Like do we play games for gameplay or do we basically just want an interactive pretty movie atp

So… what were people expecting exactly?  The gameplay is what makes a Rockstar game what it is, I would actually expect many more complaints had they started changing it too much.

I really don’t think there’s any upset at all, this isn’t the first time I’m reading some bs headline about the game. Typical example of websites trying to generate clicks by reporting about a controversy that doesn’t exist.

I think judging from how many AI things and discussions I’ve seen on discords and forums; people wanted the game to function almost like a life simulator or RPG. 

Like some big streamers were even claiming they are going to mod the online game eventually so people can “have jobs and make real money” in the game.

Even though Rockstar prohibits the transaction or collection of money or cryptocurrency in-game.

I mean sure, people can speculate however they want. But at the end of the day, they’re not the ones making the game…

Precisely, I noticed a lot of people seemed to think it’s going to be a massively overhauled game.

I’m a bit disappointed at the minimal gameplay changes, especially since it’s the most expensive game ever made and the graphics are; yes better than GTA 5, but not like nearly 3 billion dollars worth. 

I also hate the fuel system, as well the recognition system.

Rockstar games take so long to make because of the interactivty within them - I'm pretty condifent in assuming this game will have the most involved world of... any video game ever, and probably one of, if not thee best effort in optimization - both are very expensive.

You're kinda dilusional if you were expecting more - there's just no way to make a game that's so lifelike, and also not because it needs to be a visual feast the likes of which has never been seen, with free roaming and npcs that feel like they're sentient 

 

Was art/entertainment for consumption a mistake?

Cuz on one side you have tech giants decimating creative industries and people, and on the other side you have the audience who is so indifferent, and accustomed to artists persevering and STILL against all odds managing to produce bangers, that they kinda just go 'eh', or not uncommonly are angry they weren't entertained enough  

Pursuit of excellence in the arts has never been a bleaker endeavour, honestly... content farms are correct in their existence, cuz we lowkey deserve the onslaught of uninspired slop

i don't understand people being shocked it's similar to GTA5?

if the game was radically different, it wouldn't be a GTA game... these games have been the same since it stopped being top down and went into 3D; you run around in a sandbox, steal, attack, get money, do crime...

Man people are so annoying. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rockstar waited too long between releases this time. It gave people time to build EXTREMELY high expectations, and now stuck between a rock and a hard place.. because no matter what they release, it will never be good enough

Also this leaked footage is from a game that is NOT FINISHED. It will obviously be polished up a lot before release. People should know better than to judge an unfinished product that has leaked before it was ready to be seen. This isn't an official showcase for gods sake  

And tbh it actually looks and sounds really great to me. It does look very GTA5, and it would've been cool so see things stylised a little differently like they have in all the previous games, but it's such a non-issue

ALSO, GTA5 looks great now after 1000 updates, but people forget how bad it looked when it first released. This is still a serious leap in graphics. I'm more interested in how it will feel to play and if the stories and gameplay are fun

 

One thing I will complain about though is that you will need to refill the cars fuel. Wtf is that about   this is a case of taking realism too far. It doesn't add anything to the game except frustration, and strips away the free-roaming aspect of the game. Something very nostalgic to long time GTA players is that feeling of being up late at night, just wandering the game for hours and discovering little details and hidden areas in far off corners of the map

You know what ? I'm glad if Rockstar are in distress. The decision to release it only in digital is disgusting. Stupid rats...

It feels like these leaks are intentional. Somewhat sus timing given the official reveal is next week. Kinda makes sense to leak a bunch of old game play (from 2023) get people all riled up and then impress (/shut them up) them with the official release
