Which artist(s) do you wish you could have lived through/experienced at their peak?

I wish i could experience Bowie live at his creative peak, and Queen while Freddie was in the picture. Also Nightwish when Tarja was with them.

Mariah, Madonna etc would have been interesting... It was the mid-2000s before I paid attention, so I caught Madonna with Hung Up but almost everything that came after was pretty bad.

And Mariah with Obsessed... I felt like I caught the end of her peak. Those 80s/90s era videos I see of her insane vocals I would have loved to experience in real time.

Bowie ! I got really into him right after he died because Blackstar shook me to my core. It was a beautiful and heartbreaking experience. I wish I was there at his peak

Springsteen is the main one for me. He’s my favourite artist (alongside Gaga) and my dad had me listening to him when I was a toddler, but even then we’re still talking late 90s, so after what many would consider his peak. I feel very lucky that he’s still performing three hour sets and releasing music even to this day though.

Outside of that, probably Queen and Guns N’ Roses, in terms of artists that either no longer exist, or have declined.
