We know a lot about her life and family from the trials, and after her acquittal she found community with the bohemians and stage rats. We just don't know what actually happened with the murders.

Much more is known about these than people think. I just visited the Borden House recently and learned a lot about this. I left pretty convinced that Lizzie did in fact do the thing.
