also random hot take but lovedrug is overrated as hell. it only got hype because she didn't perform it live until the mayhem ball and sounds like due lipa at her best but on tranquilizers

It has an amazing guitar work going on in the production

BTW and it’s not even close

You still have TFM and TF before you get to mayhem

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

As much as I love the Mayhem songs, BTW is arguably the better album as a whole body of work where you can just click play and without any alterations or skips enjoy the whole album.

Hm.

Yes. TF.  It is a FLAWLESS album . Perfect cohesive sound and theme, no skips, all bops and a great ballad.  And her vocal delivery is pop perfection.

Paper Gangsta and Starstruck beg to differ

Perfect cohesive sound

Not really, tbh. First 4 songs are Eurodance, then we get pop R&B, then we get funk + rock, then we get glam electro. It definitely has its own sound/feel, but I wouldn’t say it’s especially cohesive. Feels a little like nostalgia fetish, tbh. It’s a great album, but imo, it is no more cohesive than MAYHEM and the structure and genre eclecticism + tracklisting on MAYHEM actually reminds me of TF, ironically lol

The fame is still more relevant to her career as a whole.  In the future we might hear Abra and die with a smile… but poker face, just dance, paparazzi, LoveGame are staples that will always be in rotation

regardless, the fame is a better album, IMO xoxoxox

Born This Way is her thesis statement. It has its flaws (overproduced) but it's absolutely perfect as an encapsulation of her power and her mission in 2011. Absolute magnum opus.
