Historically, Christianity is also responsible for more deaths and far greater geopolitical strife between the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the use of Christianity as an imperial and colonial tool, but even at that, I can still comfortably say that radical religious fundamentalism, whether it be Christian, Jewish, or Muslim, is categorically wrong.

Gaga is not a leftist or ‘progressive’ though. She’s a blue dog liberal Democrat, like most native New Yorkers. Her activism is inclusive, not based on purity tests.

 

She endorsed Hilary and Biden in the primaries, not Bernie. And I’m pretty sure she’ll vote Kamala again and not AOC or whoever the progressive candidate will be.

This terrorist attack is indeed a failure of the German administration for integrating someone who was already arrested by Lebanon for trying to join ISIS. German authorities already knew that this person is dangerous, still they let him go. This severe negligence of Germany must be questioned rather than vilifying the entire immigrant community under one negative lens.

The LGBTQ+ community, women, atheists, other religious minorities, etc. have long faced discrimination due to religious polarization. That being said it should be okay for anyone to criticise the negative aspects of any religion or any conservative authoritarian government. It is true that many Islamic countries have a poor record of treating its religious minorities, women, and queer people. However this particular attacker was of Lebanese descent, Lebanon is one of the most religiously tolerant countries in West Asia with a very diverse population of Christians, Sunni and Shia Muslims.

I just noticed someone defending Israel in Gagadaily of all places. If Hamas had committed genocide, Israel is also committing a genocide of innocent people of Gaza.
