Mostly agree - but Dress to Impress didn't release until November 2023. It was Summer 2024 when it went viral. So that definitely wasn't a left over contract.

Fornite categorically is, Coachella idk about it being a left over contract but just good timing and having good street cred with the Coachella organisers.

Oh I think I’m just thinking of Roblox in general.

Coachella most definitely is also because she was supposed to be a surprise headliner in 2020 according to Bobby with her Chromatica collaborators as guests.

Posting this here for when they premiere. There’s the full 30:05 film and the final “In Conversation…” interview is being live-streamed.

Part of me wonders if the label weren't willing to fund the era as the Chromatica era must have hurt their investment.
All the cancelled promo plans etc (a lot of that is bought) & then the rescheduled tour which we think got redesigned and I bet that flooded show in Miami cost them a fair whack in equipment costs.

It would be really unfair of them considering those things were caused by a global pandemic and a storm, which she doesn't have control over... this is lady gaga, theyre treating her like a rando when all the random khias get MV budgets. Unless she's just not that interested in the visuals anymore

Yeah the pandemic caused chaos.

But equally, she put a total stop to promoting when many other acts kept going. And she took longer to pick the era back up and start the tour up compared to the rest of the industry. This coming on the back of the JWT ending early due to health issues which will have cost the label. I don't think its crazy to think that the label might have been hesitant to back her. From a label perspective, her track record at the time wasn't at its best.
