Gaga drops out of AHS 13

Lady Gaga has officially dropped out of 'AMERICAN HORROR STORY' Season 13.

Lady Gaga made her iconic AHS debut in 2015's Hotel as The Countess, a role that earned her a Golden Globe award, before making a terrifying guest appearance as the Scáthach in 2016's Roanoke. While Murphy had reportedly crafted a major role tailored specifically for her return in the milestone 13th season, conflicting schedules ultimately made the collaboration impossible. Creative teams are currently reworking character arcs and looking to recast the role, with announcements regarding the new lead expected in the coming weeks.

Considering they are currently filming it, I truly wonder (if the rumour is true) what kind of schedule conflict we're talking about here. As far as we know, this is a blackout summer, and she has nothing planned on the horizon. No album, movie, or residency.

If they couldn't find a proper time to film, then she must be quite busy behind the scenes...

I don’t think she’s been interested in working with them since they played in her face during Roanoke.

I remember on an AHS forum back in the day hearing they originally wanted her to come back for the second half of the season to reveal the “actress” playing the witch was actually the real witch still alive now and linking her to the modern Covens. But Gaga refused to come back after they were f*cking her around during shooting and constantly changing the script, dialogue and filming schedule. So she dropped the second half of the season and they made the real witch a sort of mostly faceless threat.

She was never in it in the first place, Gaga fan accounts on X just keep making sh*t up. Ariana was supposed to be in it but dropped out a few weeks ago because of scheduling issues around her tour.

Gaga hasn’t been in any of the official source cast rumours at all.

This is Ryan Murphy we're talking about. They literally shot the finale of one of the seasons like 3 weeks before it's supposed the air and everyone had anxiety around it

That’s pretty normal by TV standards actually you’d be surprised. They do it to avoid spoilers leaking an entire seasons arch in tv.

I honestly don't care, AHS is better without guest stars, if a character don't truly serve the story just don't put it in. We want a real season and not a fan service season sorry not sorry

I'm ambivalent on this, honestly. On the one hand, AHS became a low priority for its creators and its creativity and quality suffered dearly as a result, and so it's not surprising that they went for a cash grab fan favorite crossover season to be their last. 

At the same time, it is the last season, and it would have been a slay to see her return. Oh well
