A Country with 42 Million people concentrated in only 5 major population hubs with millions of square km more of forrest than a Country of 330M+ people that has less forrest will never realistically manage it as well unless we spent an absolute fortune on it

 

This is a situation where Trumps criticism may have a sliver of truth to it, but the details and nuances are important to understand. I dont think most Americans (at least Republicans) will get that and they will just fall for the narrative that the US is a victim to Canada once again for X Y and Z reason

This is a very good point. Regardless of how well Canada does stuff, Trump is going to blame Canada for a lot of the US' problems instead of the actions of him, his cronies, and his supporters.

That doesnt mean every single complaint and irrititant the US has is not legitimate, every Country has irritants. For example, I do not blame other Countries for getting frustrated with trying to make trade deals with Canada with our dairy system. The system we have does not make it easy

 

But this is why we have dialog. Canada has made concessions before in the dairy sector to just give the US more of its quota since normal open trade is complicated with a micromanaged sector

 

Trump cant do dialogue to discuss differences. Its just adversarial all the time. Crazy

The amount of damage hes done is astounding. Yes he will leave office but hes not created paranoid narratives both of democrats rigging elections, or the US being a victim to other Countries etc that at least 25% to 30% of Americans now believe

 

That legacy will last long after he kicks the bucket and republicans from now on will play on some of this

I sort of thought after January 6th when he lost in 2020 that set the Republicans back like 12 years.

 

While I agree with you.....   the democrats have to step up their game still too.  Like you can't just go on campaigning how Trump is a piece of crap and nothing more.

Here in Canada Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievres focus was "Trudeau Sucks"... when Mark Carney took over the Liberals his thing became "Hes just like Trudeau, they are all Trudeau"

 

Well he lost the election... and now he still has a reputation of someone who only knows how to criticize but doesnt focus half as hard on coming up with his own solutions... so some on his own party are upset hence the record number of floor crossings where Conservative MPs literally defected to the Liberals under Carney. At least 3 or 4 did that in the span of a year which is unprecedented

 

I hate the guy but in a way i hope he keeps latching on to Conservative leadership cuz it will keep Carney in power for now

The US is also the main reason we got a race to the bottom. We loose business investment to the US because our "taxes are too high" but by EU standards for examole our taxes are nothing crazy but the US creates a situation where if we dont tax low we loose invesmtent cuz of our integration
