It was a TFM demo made on tour in 2009 and is the Space Cowboy song, there’s no “other version” of it. What leaked was by Burim and it was an incomplete song. It was the intro, first verse and chorus. Some people edited it to loop the verse/chorus and then added in this random bridge that wasn’t in the original leak. Much like OOC we have never got the full song because just like OOC the full song was never bought off Burim BEFORE he was arrested for theft, piracy and distribution of illegal material. We don’t know what the full song sounds like at all.

The song was up for sale in 2010 and someone managed to de-tag the leak (same for OOC) because Burim’s tag got leaked so all you had to do was line it up in Audacity and invert it and viola.

Thats why the leak of OOC has this weird underwater effect when she says “I know that we’ve got something special boy” because before we had the tag someone filtered out the “Burim exclusive baby” tag.

I don't think it was made for BTW. I think she recorded the demo, wasn't satisfied with the result and shelved it but liked parts of it, so when it came to BTW sessions, she simply reused a part of it for Fashion of His Love.

This happens a lot. Carly Rae Jepsen had a lot of songs leaked and many songs she released contained parts of those older demos.

If I remember rightly it was a last minute decision to add the lyrics because that part of the song isn’t in any of the demos that've leaked or the Fernando Garibay remix on the album. 

Last thing I remember hearing is she saw fans loved the demo and decided to include the lyrics with a small tweak just before the album got sent off in December 2010.

Also for fans who weren’t here in her early days she had a LOT of songs and demos that referenced or sampled one another. For example Hallelujah that leaked from the ARTPOP sessions has a reference to an old unreleased song called Miss It B4 U Kiss It from 2007.
