for the show she’s doing, I think that’s pretty cool. it’s more intimate, kinda like how Gaga‘s Harlequin show was

That is unfortunate. She would have loved arena crowds. But more intimate ones will be great too!

Not surprised (even though I enjoy Lily and the album/tour). I saw the tour back in April at a theater in Washington DC and thought it worked perfectly in a small venue. It has a perfect musical/one woman show vibe. I can't imagine it working (and selling) well in an arena in the US.

I think her show suits a theatre setting much more than anything.

But I hope people know what they’re in for; she does little to no interaction besides bowing at the end, only performs songs from the album with no other songs included like her old hits and sort of exists in her own little bubble onstage for a simple 50 minute show roughly.

just because I’ve seen people complain about it here in the UK during the tour.

Honestly Lily is not a big name at all in the United States. Loved the new album but it does not surprise me that there is not enough interest to sell out an arena over here.

This is appropriate. I feel like MSG and Forum could’ve sold well, but all other cities needed theaters. I’m glad she’s giving fans a chance to get their money back before starting the new sale and doing theaters. If she adds a Dallas theater date, I’ll be there!

Stadiums and arenas for concerts are too damn big!

Makes a lot of sense tbh. The show is set out to be more of a musical play than a arena show. And people who clearly can't read started complaining that she's not singing old hits. I'd assume she wasn't as much on board with the arenas to begin with, but in this day and age it is what a musical act has to do. So I read it as she stood her ground and pushed for theater shows over arenas

She just did a successful theatre run in the US in the spring. The show is the same and she's doing almost the same cities again, but now for bigger venues? Sometimes I don't understand management's choices... this could have been another theatre run in new cities.

Her UK arena tour (in her homeland) sold well, but from what I've seen on YouTube the stage was way too small, since they just took the theatre setting and added some screens left and right, so everyone who is not near the stage just watches the live stream of the concert at the arena.

I hope for her fans in mainland Europe (Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, ...) and other places in the US or Latin America that the tour finds its way to them

This 🥲 I doubt it'll happen tho. Touring the EU as a non EU country is extremely expensive, especially if you're more of a legacy/niche act. I was super surprised and happy Jessie Ware's coming to Berlin, I don't think Lily will

But wanting to sell an arena tour in the same cities you have already sold out multiple theatre shows? She could do theatre shows at L'Olympia in Paris or Tempodrom in Berlin

Oh, I'm not making the case for arena tours. I think they were silly for her at this point in her career to begin with. I definitely see her selling out arenas tho for a next project, if she wants to do them again.
