But the simplicity of this one is a bit underwhelming, plus he kinda sits there too theatrically... Its essentially an album stripping back the mask and focusing on the deeply persona journeyl of him being forced into rehab by his team following the overdose, losing his at the time partner and his journey to sobriety. Pony captures that debut album energy, its a bit youthful and fearful all at once. Brave but shy. Bronco matches that sense of belief and courage that comes from a successful debut. Mule really hits home on the concept of being stripped of everything except the man at the centre of it. Its got a vulnerable vibe to it.
