Quite shook to see online that Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Ray Of Light and Rebel Heart didn't debut at #1 :omg:

134k seems so low with everyone I know digging it, but good for Madge!

Artists nowadays are struggling to hit 200k let alone over 300k. 134k is quite a feat for Madonna in 2026. Well over several Gen Z artists!

The Grindr exclusive is insane, her best album cover in 30 years

She was projected to do 120k ish so 134k is amazing and great numbers for her in 2026. Just the title CONFESSIONS alone had to create hype for listeners and fans of the first one to be interested in this because it seemed that with Rebel Heart and Madame X they had moved on from her.

The very first prediction had predicted 90k I believe.. this is way over the initial expectations. The world is really on board with the album I guess. :udidnt:

Not too shabby with no hits

A bit like those random rappers you've never heard of top the chart

#1 album with 134k first week 44 years into your career with your 15th album is stellar. Not even stellar for just those metrics, 134k is comparable to some debuts from modern stars.

She really put everything into this. The quality is insanely high, the roll out was eventful and exciting, and she seems more focused and energized than she has in years.

This genuinely is new ground for a female artist her age and it’s so impressive. I’m so happy for her and PROUD of her. Even as a super fan I thought these days were behind us but she is, for the 100th time, proving everybody wrong.

I love her.

I was curious about who the oldest female artist to debut at #1 was.

Barbara Streisand was 67 and 6 months old when Love Is the Answer debuted at #1 in October 2009 with 180k.

Cher was 72 years old in 2018 and debuted with 153k sales but it only peaked at #3.

I guess Madonna holds the record now since she debuted at #1 at 67 and 11 months old. :abra:

Worth mentioning that Madonna is the only one here whose debut was with all original material, which is even more impressive.

5 decade worth of a career and nearly 70 years of age. Absolutely incredible how sustainable she has been as an artist.

it’s not shade, I just think it’s interesting that the album as a whole is doing so well without any standout single tracks (commercially speaking). That is very different from a few years ago when everybody claimed ‘albums were dead’ and was releasing individual 2 minute songs.
