Yeah, it should’ve made her realize a thing or two, but no… :ladyhaha:

She didn't realize that in the 10 years before, she just doesn't want to question herself and her art lol. She'll be 70 releasing the same songs and visuals

And to be fair I really enjoy the last two songs (but I’m not streaming them cause I don’t want to make her richer) but damnnnnnn, nobody told her to innovate?

OR

Maybe she finally understood she’s cooked, so she doesn’t try to surprise the public?

We love to complain about Gaga's fanbase lacking when it comes to helping her get a hit but I wonder does Gaga have that much more of a mainstream appeal over Katy? I feel like a lot Gaga's longterm success has been because of our fanbase. Katy clearly doesn't have one and it shows.

From the beginning Gaga has a strong fanbase that she talks to, Katy has no fanbase.

With every era ( and project between music) Gaga is always doing something new for her and always reaching to new audiences she didn’t communicate with earlier.

Even Mayhem had moments that were communicated to audiences who are far away from Little monsters. For example Garden of Eden being used for F1 commercial. It didn’t click in sense that it made Garden of Eden a hit, but it exposed Gaga to ( let’s be real) straight males who follow sports.

She needs to make a full return to her debut sound, and stop chasing teenage dream

bandaids was a *STEP* in the right direction but still didn’t fulfill that.

This song is fine. Not good, not bad, just fine, and sounds like they kind of tried to recreate Part of Me. There is no longer a market for a fully pop Katy Perry. But I definitely think she could at the very least grow her numbers if she leaned harder into that rock sound, revamped her older image into a more matured version, and made an effort to appear in the public more in a positive way.

and I will say it again and a million more times, most of the fault is the lyrics! They are boring! Hire better lyrical writers if you can’t write yourself, and choose songs you actually connect with or relate to!

Well can’t wait for Hudson Beauty

I don't think that's gonna help her... Even her side projects flop hard :wtfga: Didn't she have a shoes brand that was discontinued last year because no one bought anything. She was basically giving away everything late last year :air:

That’s because of the black face thing she literally had a shoe that had racist undertones.

The first step she NEEDS to do is publicly apologise for working with Dr Luke and distance herself from it. She’s been confronted in interviews about it and turned it into something else (like on CHD she turned it randomly into about being a mother???). Only then can she actually start making something of a build to a comeback.

But judging from her statement in court during the Kesha trial and her attitude after she clearly is on Luke’s side but won’t say that publicly because it would be the absolute final nail in her coffin. THAT is also the reason Gaga has nothing to do with her nor acknowledges her existence; the Kesha trial which Gaga testified on Kesha’s side for and Katy testified for Luke.

Also, if she distanced herself it would mean she would legit have to stop performing her only relevant songs from over 10 years ago. All her number one hits, all her biggest songs are Dr Luke produced and written songs. Plus Luke owns the publishing so she earns the least out of anyone involved in those songs. If she did that she would have nothing to perform anywhere anymore for the public to be interested, her label would probably step in and force her hand to legally have to perform the songs and she’d get sh*t for performing them still.

She basically needs to get out of her contracts and rebuild from scratch to get even a semblance of her old success back basically.

Katy testified for Luke.

She just said she hadn't been raped by him. Was she supposed to lie?

She could have not testified at all. Testifying is picking sides and agreeing to  testify for a rapist is agreeing with the rapist. By association simple.

She didn't want to do it, she said in her deposition that she's annoyed with Luke for using her as a tie breaker and as a pawn. Gaga tried to avoid the deposition, but Luke's team forced her to do it.
