Like, if it was Sabrina or Chappell or even Charli, I could understand because they’re still relatively new-ish to the General Public so they would need some boosts…. oscars went with a kids bop this year and that had the K-pop factor too. 
 

If Runway /Shape of a Woman get a nod the votes between Gaga/ Taylor will split.
 

Hold My Hand losing to a Bollywood song was somewhat of a surprise, so star power doesn’t equate to a win necessarily.

Both are disney film songs which is actually scary too because what if they just choose one song to submit for the academy
