Nite 5,908
It's one of the shows I learned English from (Buffy, Friends, Gilmore Girls and Simpsons really), so I watched it a lot and loved it for the first 10-ish seasons. Read the comics, played and failed at the NES game. I've seen them so much that I struggle to rewatch them nowadays. Later on I stopped watching, just because it became harder to find online and I wouldn't want to watch it dubbed. I remember when the Trump presidency was becoming a real thing and the first thing I thought of was that Simpsons episode where Lisa becomes president and inherits a crisis from "President Trump" and it was so incredibly bizzarre.

bxr 1,904
Loved The Simpsons when I was growing up, pop culture primer canon … it sort of felt like a second language in the scope of social dynamics … I was content lead for the show‘s socials awhile back, which was a bit of a surreal cosmic nod for the elementary schoolyard self … zeitgeist zephyrs and such But/and, for the sake of due diligence, on account of said forum … a venue-oriented archive reprise from Gg‘s Springfield adventure 1
hamartia 2,742 Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Genuinely don’t know who I would be if I hadn’t watched The Simpsons as a child. Put The Simpsons, Lady Gaga, and I Spy books into a blender and you make Hamartia "I lied. I lied!" (Germanotta, 2025) 1 1

RebeldeFaith 5,661 Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:17 AM Haven't watched a full season in over a decade, but every year I do a marathon of the Treehouse of Horrors episodes during Halloween. They really get you in the mood for the season. Can I vanish into a cheeseburger pizza?

weed 78,387
A staple of American television, one of the most iconic cartoons of all time. I think it's great, I rarely watch it nowadays but I think it's always been enjoyable. Saw the movie in theaters in 2007/8, excited for #2. I was elected to lead, not to read
Helxig 45,008
It used to be a genuinely laugh-out-loud funny show and actually very smart in it's writing. But it's been drawn out way too long. It feels like the newer writers are fans who grew up watching the show and are writing 'The Simpsons' instead of writing really funny and clever jokes based around unique characters. They should've wrapped it up with the first movie and had a graceful goodbye to the series tbh I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
