It’s amazing how crisp and clear everything sounds compared to the mud that was The Bitter Truth.
It was a bit same-ey on first listen but man, did it grow! I’m currently obsessed. I don’t know where I’ll rank it yet, but I have a feeling it will be in my top 3 once the novelty wears off.

Amy Lee was always one of my fav singers. I’m so glad she’s still putting out incredible work 23+ years later.

NUTELLA

Who Will You Follow has had insane replay value over the past couple months.

The outro of Rapture had me titillated

& Wide Open Heart was a showstopper...

but her vocals on How Do I Heal are just so beautiful

If anyone's listened

How industrial electro is it?

it has elements throughout but I definitely wouldn't call it an industrial electro album

I wish they would do one

I'm a big fan of their first two albums, but didn't even know they had a new album coming out until I was scrolling IG. Listened to it on Friday night and again this morning, and I really like it! Some elements feel nostalgic to their earlier music, and yet, it still feels fresh and cool! Amy still sounds amazing and I love how loud the instrumentals are!

Also, I like that this is a response to the current political situations in the USA/the bands reaction to the election. It's nice that there is at least one 2000s rock band who hasn't gone full conservative or right-leaning.

There isn't really much of this on it. However, the main lead single, Who Will You Follow?, does have a slight vibe of this in it. Rapture has an experimental electronic breakdown in it. Calm Down very slightly leans into this as well.

Evanescence is not a genre band, it's a "elements" band, so you can hear a little of everything thrown there in the new songs
