We can critique it ofc and should but let’s not say gaga is a paragon of righteousness and above the fray when she helped establish this very marketing fray we’re in. haus labs needed somewhere to start up so what's the issue with that? pharma collab was a dark moment but neither of those are related to album promotion and i wasn't even commenting about gaga/madonna's promo spots being cringe (but gaga oreo collab was barely a collab, she filmed a video in her bed and that's it) i think this is a bad idea because madonna is a living legend, she should be doing this on something like spotify/apple music for wider appeal to younger audiences that has the infrastructure of hosting an event grindr can barely even perform it's basic function, i'd be amazed if it's able to pull off a livestream of this magnitude whatever stupid deal madonna's team has cut with grindr needs scrapping mother, what must i do? TBH I’m surprised her team didn’t try for YouTube. it’s a bad idea generally speaking but I guess I just don’t see it as ethically any worse or any more cringe than what any other pop star has done(?).
