Disregarding how they continue to be streamed in the future, TDD definitely had a major upper hand at the time of its release.

In terms of her public image, ARTPOP was a very rough place to release late singles, and GUY’s chart-runs worldwide reflect that, compared to the moderate success of TDD

ARTPOP era was doomed by that point.

Meanwhile Mayhem era has basically been a perfect-era template for the mature pop star

Maybe TDD is quite forgettable when compared to G.U.Y. since the instrumentals of G.U.Y. alone can be used a zillion times in reels and tiktok. It has one of the sickest instrumentals ever among Gaga's discography.
