Icon behaviour

Crazy to think this was offered to S Club 7 and Sophie Ellis-Bextor first.
I bet Sophie wishes she'd taken it.

Also - one of the writers wrote Toxic after this, which Kylie turned down before it went to Britney

And even more iconic behaviour from Rita Ora for not recording Padam Padam because she already has too many hits and said “give it to Kylie!”

But lets be honest, the above mentioned could NEVER make it this iconic, especially considering how many times K reinvented the song along the years. (Especially during the KMO and Les Folies tour!)

Yeah there was a recent tiktok post using Martin G and Bebe Rexha's 2016 hit "In the Name of Love" and one of the top comments was like "we need Bebe and Calvin Harris to come back!!"

Both those acts dropped new music in 2026.

I don’t think Sophie would’ve done the same type of visuals, MV, and performances that helped make this song iconic

Don't forget the KYLIEX2008 tour & Golden tours.
CGYOMH goes with literally everything.

It's like vodka.

The system is almost rigged against new music now imo.

Like minus the ones forced onto autoplay & premade industry playlists, I feel like casual fans have *zero* ways of finding out that people they like are releasing new music.
Social media algorithims require regular interaction with related stuff to see new posts which excludes casual fans.

palma

Deserves a residency on the chart along with a couple of other Kylegend songs - but is there any reason for this surge other than talent, beauty, success, and acclaim? Is it because of her Netflix doc? (which is amazing check it out if you didn't)

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

I'd assume its because of the netflix doc & the tension tour being released on netflix
