Also, this is reminding me of when Trisha Paytas "went Vegan" for like a week, and the got spotted using Rabbit fur chairs and queued up a live stream titled "why I stopped being vegan".

The 80s at the time was infamous because it was a decade of superficiality, with a plastic aesthetic catered to the mainstream of the mainstream. Gone was the manufectured authenticity and laissez faire of the 70s. In this respect the 20s are much worse: they're a constant rehashing of the superficiality of the 80s. It's not even superficial anymore, it's beyond that. It's merely a sign. A very Baudrillardian decade.

The song Lizzo is referencing in the ad (“I want my baby back, baby back, baby back ribs”) is a famous Chili’s promotional jingle from when they introduced the ribs back in the late 90s/early 2000s and it was an extremely popular point of reference and parody in media at the time (such as being used as a joke in the third Austin Powers film for example). It’s one of the most famous brand jingles as a result.

I cannot believe she went from winning ROTY and numerous other Grammys to this flop hellhole. She is far too talented to be releasing bad music and fighting with haters on IG and Twitter. What a shame
