MOT 3,608
Interesting how we can all listen to the same thing and some people will love it and some will hate it. In general terms I love her singing. She can be screechy or shouty by times but then she'll turn around and nail something a few seconds later and we're good. Highlights for me (at random) - JWT, Superbowl National Anthem, Vanish Into You on Colbert. That Vanish performance has a couple of screechies, but it also has a couple of moments which can only be described as exquisite. I think she's been singing great recently, Happy Mistake, Howard Stern, Antidote, even the Mr Rogers thing was lovely. Not much talk on here about The Sound Of Music. That big note at the end, you can nearly see her thinking 'hope this sounds ok - coz I'm not sure'. Well, yes Gaga, it does sound ok ... sort of ... ish. KEEP smiling. princedeeblebleble 3,641
I love most of her vocal moments, especially in pretty much all of the TFM, BTW, ARTPOP, Harlequin, Chromatica and Mayhem albums, like she has such a diverse vocal range and can do so much with her voice it's actually insane. Especially on the acoustic versions is where she trully shines! However sometimes she does too much, like the majority of Joanne is just.. hard to listen where she's more into proving she has gr8 vocals instead of actually sounding pleasant. Especially on DH, Perfect illusion, Angel down..), Till it happens to you is also.. just grating and on more recent songs BOG is also really a pain in the ears, I'm glad she did some softer vocals for Requiem! dynamite 66,629
I don't actively dislike any, but BoG is a bit dry / nasal sounding Like a poem said by a neydy in red
Defmix100 7,063
I don't like the Bad Romance french bridge vocals, it sounds too low for her This was an interesting accent but we need more of this:
Holocene 69
This is the cringiest along with likes of Enigma, Till it happens to you, BOG, The Beast, come to mama, angel down. To me pre-tribute/joanne Ga voval is more enjoyable.

Head Empty 26,981
I feel so estranged reading this thread because I love her vocals in Dope. And I kinda wish she would lean into her lower register more She sounds way more comfortable there opposed to the super high belts.

Since then, she often either sounds like she wants to prove she can sing or she completely neglects the vocals in favor of the emotion, with like no balance to me. Her officially-recorded performances rarely sound great to me nowadays. She usually sounds so much better when the cameras are away, in her element, at her own show with her fans. She sounded reaaaally great during the Chromatica Ball and the MAYHEM Ball. Her best vocal performance has to be the Sound Of Music tribute, even though there's a TON of amazing performances from that time. If I Ever Lose My Faith In You, You've Got A Friend and so on... Her worst (other than her drunk performance of Yoü And I at the GRAMMYs after party lmao) has to be her rendition of the national anthem at Joe Biden's inauguration. Oh my god, that was painful Edit: no, actually she sounded really good when she was drunk singing Yoü And I. It's just the way she plays the piano, she hits all the wrong notes you can think of lmaooo This is exactly how I also feel. I LOVE her vocals and vocal tone from 2008-2015 it seemed so effortless smooth, and natural and I loved her bright and warm tone and how she would mix it with vocal growls and belting. That time of Gaga's vocals is my fav vocal tone in all of pop and everything from 2016 onwards I really don't like. It feels like she is always pushing her voice now to be like "I CAN SING" to the point of almost shouting at times and I have noticed it more and more in her studio recordings and live performances. I also don't always know what words she is singing now because she blends vowels together and I feel like she was much better at pronouncing words properly during 2008-15, it is actually one of the reasons I loved Gaga so much in the first place, because she was better at that then Britney or Katy at the time.
