I listened to the song posted y'all....what Gaga song is in question here that samples this? I can't hear any similarities so I can't place it to understand the issue here.

Oh stfu. He had the means to reach out to her privately in that case but no let me call her out for ripping me off publicly :icant: you sir do not love or like or even enjoy Gaga to do that ESPECIALLY if he’s already credited

How funny that I actually have a song a year older than his that uses the exact same arpeggio. It must mean he stole my brilliant and totally original and one-of-a-kind nobody-else-in-the-world-could-have-made-an-arpeggio-from-these-basic-chords riff.

:air:

edit: no i'm not sharing my old ****ing music

Mashups in live performances are free under creative licence, same for covers, and interpolation.

I divert to this 😂

But It’s not the same. :air: at least to me lol. It’s just same kind of synthwave. Do people not hear this or am I deaf.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

This is only true when the live performance isn’t being recorded and distributed for profit afaik

Yeah, it’s clearly inspired by Nightcall, but the actual notes aren’t the same. If he tried to take her to court over this, he would probably lose

Imagine if Robin S was this mad about the Show Me Love bass sound. Half the DJs in the world would be sued, alongside Beyoncé, Gaga and Katy.

I know copyright is important and we should always respect intellectual property but that synthwave sound is so widespread and so done that it's funny complaining about it, like, every other 20 something straight boy with no taste and a cracked FL Studio has put a kick on beat and 2 snares with lots of reverb and an emulated moog arp bass and put up on YouTube with neon letters on the cover, give me a break.

Interestingly NIN aren’t credited in Killah either.

I mean, tbf, Closer also isn’t directly interpolated or sampled. She mimicked the drum loop in Closer and referenced “I wanna fck you like an animal,” but that’s it as far as I can tell

Yeah that's what I'm hearing, too. Like sure you could say she had inspiration...but she was inspired by Daft Punk in like 8 other places in this show including this bike helmet she has on. So I feel like saying it's a rip-off is a liiiiiittle much especially when the songs themselves are massively different.

Madonna had an entire performance of Born This Way on her tour DVD back in 2012 and Gaga/Fernando or anyone weren't in the credits for the movie.
