Cascio family accuse Michael Jackson of sexual abuse

That's the narrative that gen z fans have run with. It's not terribly inaccurate in spirit but a lot of it is fueled by an AI video of Macaulay Culkin saying Neverland was specifically meant to protect kids from the island.

In truth, MJ did create Neverland as a refuge for himself, children, and their families. The thousands of families that came through his gates were mostly underprivileged or families with sick kids. He wanted to provide a worry free day for them and often went beyond that for some families, like using his global contacts to find a liver donor for one sick kid or buying entire homes for some families. Even had medical equipment set up in the theaters for the kids that had to be in hospital beds with IVs and stuff so they could watch movies and shows with everyone else :traumatica:

When it comes to child stars, he often did take on a mentor and protector role. Mac is the best example of that, he even ended up becoming MJ's kids' godfather, but there are plenty of others. Even warned Britney Spears about her dad when they met in the very late 90s or early 00s.

He also has a couple songs that speak on the topic of minors being exploited by Hollywood:

"Do You Know Where Your Children Are" aka "12 O'Clock"

Now, she's on the move, she's off to Hollywood
She says she wanna be a star, she heard the money's good
She gets off from the train station, the man is waitin' there
"I'll show you where the money is, girl, just let down your hair"
He's taking her on the streets of Sunset Boulevard
She's selling her body hot, girl, that will take you far
The police come 'round the corner, somebody there, they told
He's arresting this little girl
Who's only 12 years old

"Hollywood Tonight"

Westbound Greyhound to Tinseltown to pursue her movie star dreams
And she's giving hot tricks to men just to get in
She was taught that that's not clean
Because she's only fifteen*

*Notably, when they released this song on the 2010 "Michael" album they removed that lyric. Some fans think it's 'cause the industry has had a habit of standing in the way of his more activist related stuff before (such as "We've Had Enough" not being accepted on "Invincible" despite Michael fighting for it). I'm gonna talk more about his drama around Invincible when I start my "MJ Song of the Day" threads :cheeky: anyway, personally, I think they just didn't wanna invite the conversation of minor abuse on his first posthumous project so they censored the lyric.

But that project had other controversies anyway, namely the dozen or so fake songs the Cascios family sold to the estate, three of which made it to the album, but hey, they're totally trustworthy, promise :laughga:

If we're dipping into the conspiratorial side of things, while I don't believe it was "tHe zIoNiSt MeDiA" that got him (more so his own naivety and the blurring of social norms that he never got to/tried to learn), I absolutely believe the media has an enormous negative bias against him. Just look at the disparity between critical reviews and audience reviews of the biopic or the way the entire industry blacklisted him in 2019 after Leaving Neverland came out but the demand for his work was so incredibly high that he was dominating some radio charts by the end of the year.

To dig deeper, I also believe corporate owned media absolutely tried to paint him as the face of pedophilia 'cause he was too outspoken for "the powers at be". Once Evan Chandler launched his extortion mission, they latched on and never let go regardless of law enforcement's conclusions or a jury acquitting him.

Listen to the HIStory album if you want his take on the media. That album is cinema 🤌🤌

They spent 30 years trying to destroy this man while global elites were torturing kids in the shadows. Meanwhile, his only actual tie to Epstein is a photo of him looking into buying a property in Florida and a survivor who said she saw him there but never saw any wrongdoing.

The media circus when this image came out too :air:

"PROOF!!" they all said in unison. Meanwhile, those are his freaking kids and Diana Ross's kid :ladyhaha:

Ridiculous.

Tl;dr - Neverland was built as a refuge for him and children but it wasn't specifically to protect them from Epstein. It was meant to be a safe and free place though. And while there isn't a "Zionist plot to destroy Michael Jackson" I absolutely think it's plausible that the mainstream media used and continues to use him as a lightning rod to undermine his decades of charity and altruism and draw attention from the real predators.

I’ve been trying to get more information on this theory, as my boyfriend and I were discussing it the other day!
So is it untrue that he was pro palestine, and becoming more vocal about the tensions between Israel and Palestine? I know he was beginning to speak up a lot more about police brutality and was growing increasingly more political vocally, right? Or am I wrong.

Oh no, he was definitely pro-Palestine. He penned a poem/song for them in 1993 called "Palestine, Don't Cry" and the notes with the lyrics were auctioned in 2014. His handwriting was atrocious so they had to guess some of the words :icant:

See the plains
Of the days of old
Just a century ago
When stories of peace were told.
Of how Gallilie (sic) ran through
The Jordan River.
What remains are cold
Tales of war,
Of the death and dying
Bomb shells are flying
Bodies multiplying,
See the children crying.
What are they fighting for?
I will pray for you,
Oh, Palestine.
Oh, Palestine,
I will carry you, oh,
Palestine, Palestine.
Palestine
Come deep in
My heart.
I’ll always love you.
Palestine, don’t cry,
I will pray for you,
Oh, Palestine. Oh, Palestine,
Oh, Palestine.
God’s a place for you
Oh, Palestine.
And, I believe in you. Oh,
Palestine, I will die for you.

I mostly wanted to push back on the "zionists control the media" assertion and give a bit of clarity to what that corpse account said about MJ specifically trying to protect kids from Epstein 'cause that's not really accurate.

Michael was a friend to the Jewish community* but he also sympathized deeply with the people of Palestine and in his later years he spent so much time in Muslim circles that the media started reporting his alleged conversion to the religion.

*He took a lot of heat for lyrics in "They Don't Care About Us" that ended up censored. I believe he apologized but he never really clarified what he actually meant by "jew me sue me everybody do me, kick me k*ke me, don't you black or white me". At least, not in a way that made sense. Dude was notoriously bad at explaining himself :rip: It was either a clumsy way to draw parallels between his own treatment and the treatment of Jews or an off color use of harmful stereotypes which is ironic considering the nature of the song :rip:

MJ apologists... What is your defense for explaining why he was sharing a bed with underage boys when he could have been spending that time looking after his own children?

The man has a great cultural legacy but you really don't need to overlook the fact that he was deeply disturbed at the same time
