I will just point out on this that the fact he didnt have a childhood, seemed to try to comoensate for it in his adulthood and even often spoke childlike makes me think hed by default have a lot of bahaviours and friendships that would not be considered normal by most adults even if no abuse was involved

And to be clear I am not saying there wasnt, I do not know and with a lot of power u can do a lot of manipulative things and cover up a lot

All im saying is ppl keep using the not normal behaviour as borderline proof and I think in his case theres other things that can explain that as well so I dont think id put too much emphasis in that argument in isolation

Michael Jackson is not the only person to have had a traumatic or abusive childhood. Countless people, including celebrities, go through awful experiences growing up and still understand appropriate boundaries with children as adults.

Using his childhood to excuse repeatedly sleeping with, emotionally attaching himself to, and surrounding himself with unrelated young boys just doesn’t make sense. Those are textbook pedophile behaviours and major red flags that people would recognise immediately in literally any other adult man.

nah you need to get some help. The way you defend that Man so hard… Its a lil concerning… you literally are the type to blame the victims and their families…  Calling them liars. None of us truly know what happened but given the stories we can make assumptions. You literally just go full force on the “Hes 100% innocent. I KNOW MICHAEL BETTER THAN ANYONE!”
But go ahead it’s a free world. Pretend you knew that man better than anyone.

They're not victims :icant:

And yes, exactly, you can make your assumptions. I'll draw my conclusions from the facts, thank you.

Either they are naive or they are capable of doing the same things Michael did and they just want to pretend to be dumb sheep when they probably are calculated wolves who know how to manipulate people…

The way some superfans twist facts, spread misinformation, and aggressively attack or discredit accusers is honestly disturbing.

It doesn’t just affect these specific cases either — it sends a message to other victims that if the person who abused you is famous or loved enough, people will tear apart your credibility no matter how much evidence or how many red flags exist. That kind of behaviour makes it even harder for survivors to come forward in the future.

It's sad & it shocks me everytime to see poeple on GGD stand with a textbook paedophile. I'm not sure if people don't feel comfortable confronting mods or they just don't care?

Also just gonna drop this here:

Literally every allegation falls apart under the tiniest bit of scrutiny. It's a wonder why anyone believes any of it but I guess some people just care more about the scandal of it all, they hate the dude himself, or they're gullible enough to fall for it.

It just infuriates me when people wear a caricature of the trauma I and many others have been through to get their fifteen minutes or a paycheck they didn't earn. Doesn't even matter if it's MJ or anyone else being falsely accused.

Nobody ever has to be scared to "confront" me :icant:

I am deciding to step away from this thread before y'all get my blood pressure up though so don't even bother ig. Y'all can have your thread and narrative, I'll be here with the billions of others that adore the man and accept the truth.

Michael Jackson walked out of court a free and innocent man. You'll never change that, no matter how many lies you believe.

Speculate to break the one you hate

Being found not guilty doesn’t automatically mean someone is completely innocent, especially in child abuse cases where victims are traumatised and celebrities have endless money, influence, and fans defending them.

People are allowed to look at the repeated behaviour, the allegations, the settlements, the witness statements, and the fact he openly slept with unrelated children and think “yeah… this is really disturbing.” That’s not hate, it’s common sense and basic safeguarding.

And honestly, I don’t think most people talking about this even want it to be true. A lot of us grew up loving MJ’s music and wish none of these allegations existed. But at some point, supporting victims and acknowledging obvious red flags matters more than protecting childhood nostalgia.

All the best anyway.

IMO there is no excuse to be that friendly and close with literal children …

you can be both a talented legend and a pedo

but he wouldn’t have all these allegations if he didn’t spend so much time alone in bedrooms with children..,

I went back and forth on this for years. My current stance is I do think mj was a very troubled man, and I believe he might've been inappropriate around those children (and more?) I don't however believe there was SA involved

I simply think that a lot factors lean more in favor of him actually being innocent. I do think he could've subjected the kids to drugs, or at least that drugs were present around them, but I'm sorry all the parents to me are grifters. wdym I'm leaving my child alone with a stranger let alone a "rockstar". If you're getting close to celebrity you're either a huge fan and want to spend every moment with them or you're approaching with malice and already deduced that you're going to extort them and milk this.

Imagine you have a celeb over would you act this way? No, it's weird now it was weird then. I feel bad for the kids and for the kind of childhood they've been subjected to but this is absurd.

THIS EXACTLY IS WHAT THINK

we love Michaels artistry but lets not ignore blatant red flags. I don't care how much sympathy others have for his rough childhood, we cant deny he literally acted like a predator…

The fact some people say “he was a kid at heart, he was stunted”

He wasn't a kids at heart when he was hunting down young female fans calling them “fishies”. Like if he really was that stunted Why did he function perfectly in an adult world? I mean if he was such a stunted individual who could only play with children why the hell was he also sharing adult spaces and doing Adult things.

someone who was stunted would literally act like a child all the time, not even probably think about sex in the way Michael did. He put on the innocent adult with a lost childhood mask on when it was convenient to him and became a predator when he wanted to. Its literally documented.

Exactly.. Michael had sex with woman and made children.  How can you be both a grown man capable of all he was capable of- but also be “stunted and a kid at heart” ?

truthfully, I see Donald trump as someone who is mentally 12 years old and very very immature, and I would never consider him to be excused for having been attracted to young girls because he too was “young” inside

Pigatha

I'm not saying he's guilty or not, but the benefit of the doubt would not be extended to anyone else like it is with him.

At the very least he was creepy and had boundary issues, a bad childhood or being "stunted" doesn't excuse sleepovers as a grown adult, and honestly with all we know about hollywood why would it be such a stretch???

Regardless if you think SA occurred, the behavior was creepy and inappropriate. End of story.

Id be really careful about the way you talk about someone who has shared about their own experiences with CSA and adult SA.

My heart goes out to anyone who has experienced CSA or sexual abuse, because I’ve experienced it myself. That’s part of why I feel so strongly about this topic. I would never use my own experiences to discredit or dismiss someone else’s.

I don’t think it’s very fair to suggest I’m attacking someone’s personal experience, because I haven’t spoken negatively about their abuse or discredited them in any way. My criticism is aimed at celebrity worship and the way some people defend famous figures no matter how many red flags exist.

I'll be honest, your comments towards them read as dismissive of the experiences they have referenced and rude from my perspective.

And I speak as someone who once attacked them (years ago now) on a similar subject to the way you did.

But having interacted with them in the years since - even if I don't fully take their side or yours in this subject - I think its totally unfair to be going after them and suggesting they are wilfully ignoring CSA & victim blaming for having a different opinion to you on this. And whether you have intended to or not - from an observers point you do come across as dismissive of their experience and as attempting to ignore it and discredit them.
