Lady Reductive strikes again!

Growing up, I was always under the impression that Madonna had a longstanding history playing guitar and that she was a skilled guitar player, until I recently stumbled upon this video from 2000.

In the video, she says it’s her first time playing guitar publicly (in spite of claiming to have played regularly during the 70s and 80s) and she clearly struggles and needs to be doubled by a back up player for a fairly simple arrangement.

In another video of Madonna playing “Mother and Father,” she appears to be barely making contact with the strings

and I began to wonder, why does this feel so familiar?

Then I remembered…

 

 

And I couldn’t help but wonder: is this YET ANOTHER way in which Lady Reductive has stolen from the Queen of Pop?

And before anyone brings up the Madonna Pantera video: her backing guitarist used to play with members of Pantera and there are clearly moments when Madonna is not making contact with the strings

I have opined as much many times on here, you have no idea

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, & I'm not saying they were (at one point) the very same person...

....but.... they have never EVER been photographed together, despite notably attending many of the same events.

I mean at least Madonna always pretend played the guitar in really cool inventive ways, with Gaga it's always like.. why? Especially on Garden of eden where she could have walked all cvnty down rhe runway doing things.. also during the beast it ruins the visual of that beautiful outfit.. Or the Joanne tours Ayo bit.. so unnecessary

Not gonna lie.

Everytime Gaga pulls out a guitar, I cringe so hard. 

She didn't touch a single guitar during the Chromatica era / ball, so I was really hopeful that she had stopped for good.

But then... Garden of Eden at Coachella happened.

I HAAAAAATE when Gaga uses that ****ing guitar. Like girl it’s so obvious you can’t play well, she always makes it seem like she’s trying really hard, and it just looks ****ing stupid.
