Anything for that Oscar gurl...  We're all gonna pretend it's true. In fact, we don't know for sure cause maybe she knew in late 2024 that she was gonna be in the movie. I think the movie started pre-production in early 2024 and by mid-2024 it was confirmed Meryl was back so maybe they already asked her to do it by then

I bet she was in her bed searching for old demos that she could use for the film, and she thought “oh my God, Michael, I have a song that’s called Glamorous Life!! It fits like a glove for a movie about fashion”

Then Michael said “honey, isn’t the song a bit too dramatic for such a light movie?”

and Gaga replied “babe, my name is Lady Gaga and I’m never dramatic.” and she laughed like that:

The producer of the movie said Meryl asked Gaga to be in the movie on the day she hosted SNL, so in March 2025

Edit: I just checked, Gaga hosted SNL on March 8 and the SOAW snippet leaked on March 7, the day MAYHEM was released
