Why is Gaga taking so long to release Requiem?

since requiem means funeral and her black veiled outfit at that taping + the opera house ruins suggest that this performance was meant to close the Mayhem era, right? so I thought she would for sure release it right after the last mayhem ball show, but that did not happen. There must be a reason why we’ve entered a new mini era (TDWP2) and requiem still hasn’t been released? Someone on ATRL said it should come out this Wednesday (May 6) so then we thought okay she’s probably gonna announce it at the met gala, but well. does anyone have any theory as to why it has not been released yet?

 

maybe she didn’t want to flood us with too much content since the Runway era started while the mayhem ball was still on, and she’s waiting a bit to give us something for the summer months (if she’s perhaps gonna step away for a bit to get married). idk!

It’s upto Apple when it comes out not Gaga sadly so there’s probably a reason I imagine.

The rumours are it comes out tomorrow (6th) according to Mindtrappa I believe

Idk maybe she wants to use it as a platform to announce something new a la TCB film on HBO (though I have no such expectations)

Because she wants us to suffer. Its a commentary on how people expect to receive services and good so quickly in a capitalist society. She is doing this to shatter our expectations of how fast an artist should deliver their art to an audience. Perhaps MAYHEM: Requiem does not exist at all. Perhaps Requiem is the friends we made along the way.

Because she's doing some promo for TDWP2 and it wouldn't be smart to overlap that with the release of Requiem. Now that the music has been released, she can move on. Should be coming pretty soon.
