LGAte 683
Reports are coming in that Shakira’s Copacabana audience has a little over 2 million, which is about 500,000 shy of Gaga’s numbers. this is still incredible and impressive, but I think it shows not only how impressive Gaga is but how much she is loved in Brazil. source is from World Music News: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EaDHr3rfp/?mibextid=wwXIfr 2
andy232000 13,091
We have to wait for the official numbers. Gaga always had a discrepancy with official numbers saying she did 2.1M but with a widespread media reporting of 2.5M (including respectable and reputable sources like Billboard, Rolling Stones and Live Nation). Since it’s all an estimate I think talking about one sole number is incorrect. Depending on what formula you’re using you’ll get something different so it’s more like between 2.1 and 2.5 Shakira could break the record if she’s close to that 2.1M. However, depending on who you ask some will say Gaga did 2.5M. Sadly, I can already see the shitstorm Stan twitter will become Edited May 3 by andy232000

I think they are shotty estimates based on square footage covered (based on how many people should fit in any given space) and drone airial views Basically gives only a ball park figure. Theres a significant margin of error for this which is why theres no 1 exact official numbers Humans despite thinking were so advanced, theres a lot of every day stuff we cant track as well as wed like to think we can. Even temperature records for example like hottest or colest ever since recorded history, we have only measured records. Theres a lot of gaps and square footage on earth without 24/7 measurements. We dont actually know if our records are the true records

Yea I'm impressed that these kinds of concerts can take place & the logistics of getting that many people in a small space, but there's a reason places like Coachella break into 2 weekends. At a certain point you're just on the other side of town watching a live recording of the concert. This kitten over here (meow)

Also, a big chunk of the audience is composed of tourists. "Needy" is... a choice Edited May 3 by Taumaturg0
