As someone who hasn’t eaten meat since  I was 7, this is a stupid take.

We’re supposed to eat meat as human beings lol. I only stopped because I’m squeamish and I just never grew out of it

Most vegans share the same opinion.

Honestly, most people love domesticated pets but don’t care that animals we eat are slaughtered and treated in horrific ways. 

It is what it is. 

Not everyone is going to be a full vegan. But everyone can consume less meat and animal products if they choose. 

I cut out most dairy from my diet and that’s my contribution. I’m not going vegan although I admire those that do

I eat meat, but I think she's right. How can I say I love animals and then pay for their flesh? I can't give up meat yet but I can admit to myself that the way meat is sourced is fucking disgusting and horrendous and diabolical and I'm not proud of financing that industry.

It does take some cognitive dissonance to “love animals” and eat factory meat. There’s torture there.
