Tbh scandals rarely hurt artists. Barring people that are literally locked away (R. Smelly) we really overexaggerate how far the reach is for drama.

She fell off mostly 'cause she just got boring. The lawsuit is another nail in the coffin but the lid was closing on that thing regardless.

Sexual harassment stuff with her staff is what would make her deserve to be cancelled, but she was never big to begin with. Her old song “Truth Hurts” went viral years after it debuted and then it became a massive hit. But like most artists, she essentially became a one hit wonder. She’s a woman who’s not scared of nudity, she’s black and she’s big. Not the perfect cocktail for the GP.

Edit: when I said “she was never big,” I was referring to her career. But then, when I said “she’s big,” I was talking about her weight, which (obviously) was always the number one topic about her ´cause people are just like that…

there was no fanbase. GP was her audience. she got a lot of label push, playlisting, radio airplay, songs were going viral on TikTok. Now that her record label has stopped spending money on it since they changed their CEO, her songs are struggling, her latest single gets less than 15k daily streams.
