RAMROD 116,996
Pixar is breaking with tradition. “Toy Story 5” has been rated PG, marking the first time in the franchise’s history that an instalment has received anything other than a G. From “Toy Story” through “Toy Story 4,” every film carried a G rating—the brand has long stood as one of the most family-friendly IPs in modern animation. The shift to PG could open the door to darker, more complex storytelling—or at least one can hope. Perhaps more intense moments, although given the furnace climax in “Toy Story 3,” it’s actually surprising that film somehow managed to retain a G rating. https://www.worldofreel.com/blog/2026/4/26/toy-story-5-rated-pg-first-in-franchise-history-after-four-g-rated-films (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ ᶠʳᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒʷᵃʳᵈ ᵉⁿᵉᵐʸ (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡

27monster27 15,847
This makes sense as these franchises get older and older. Shrek has been building to stuff like this for years, for example. he/him/his

BrandyFinest 829
The meaning of "PG" has changed so much overtime. At one point it was the contemporary equivalent to "PG-13" which is why fairly violent movies like Jaws or Raiders of the Lost Ark are rated PG. And PG-13 used to get away with a lot of violence and nudity up until the 2000s. Video on the topic if you are interested.
