It's guerilla marketing. Yeah it is definitely old school. Just feels odd in the streaming era. But starting to get the vibe Madonna's trying to build a full album era rather than just do what sells for the current charts. Knowing she has a collab with Sabrina Carpenter coming, I think it makes sense to showcase both the commercial and less mainstream aspects of the album.

Everyone complains for an easy, fun club house pop song from like every single artist and Madonna comes through delivering the truest version of that to date from a pop star this decade and nothing. it’s such a silly, fun song. Perfect for the club. I think some of yall just do not like her tbh this wasn’t going to be hung up bc she very clearly wasn’t trying for it to be lmfao She’s a singer, not a DJ It’s completely valid to not like it It’s almost as if Gaga had released Chromatica I when everyone was waiting for a song lmao

palma 8,737 Posted yesterday at 07:32 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:32 PM This was quite nice, basically a Future Lovers/I Feel Love rehash - but rehashes are not always bad! Would work quite nicely as a first track. I'm a bit glad it's not the lead tho, wouldn't live up to Hung Up by a mile As iconic as it is though, I'm tired of every disco song out there sampling I Feel Love. Madonna did it first (at least for me), but hearing it on Summer Renaissance for instance, felt boring to me (musically - I know Bey wanted to pay tribute to Donna Summer and kudos to her). Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?
ChvVolk 2,457 Posted yesterday at 07:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:36 PM (edited) Not huge on Madonna, it took me like 10 years to check out her music, but this wasn't bad at all. The chorus is a little muffled but this song is in vein with History, Future Lovers, Forbidden Love and a lot of the remixes from that era. I prefer this over Jump, I Love New York, Let it Will Be, Push, How High, Like it or Not. Edited yesterday at 07:53 PM by ChvVolk

It’s really not like Gaga bc Madonna has alllllllways leaned less vocally difficult even on some of her hits like bedtime stories, frozen, etc. If Gaga did that it would be shocking bc she has always led with vocals but Madonna has long been more of a production and overall sound woman. Ray of Light is notable bc it’s one of those few times her voice is actually really big.
princedeeblebleble 2,868 Posted yesterday at 07:44 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:44 PM Omg what a song it's giving everything I love, the spoken word, the soft etherial vocals, the random moans.. pure perfection! Can't wait to listen to it in hq cause i feel like there's a lot elements hidden.
