I randomly came across this yesterday. Apparently people on Popjustice were talking about Just Dance at the end of March 2008, before it was even released in April. Sadly, I don't have an account so I can't view the post and Popjustice as we know is closing, so I can't see exactly what people said. I mean, this wouldn't be surprising because Lady Gaga was constantly putting stuff on MySpace and performing it before "official" releases. She did also perform the song at Winter Music Conference Miami in March (and possibly even earlier in February at an event, though this is unconfirmed). I still think this is pretty cool to see though.

Oh man I remember that. I was not a member, but I did read this thread back then when she debuted when I started looking into her.

Beautiful Dirty Rich is the song that drew me into Gaga's music (though technically, her Gagavisions is what drew me in the most).

Just Dance never hit me the same way BDR did.

I think the name is gonna haunt her some day. It sounds funny and very "indie" right now but in the long run it wasn't such good idea.

Miss Kittin - that's a great stagename.
Lady Gaga - that's an awful one.

 

He could not be more wrong, by 2026 we still have no other stagename as iconic as Lady Gaga.     Miss Kittin is concerning
