This is Gaga's highest-grossing tour yet, one of the highest-grossing tours by a female artist in history (5th I believe) and also among the top 10 highest-grossing pop tours of all-time. Aside from the tickets genuinely being overpriced, this argument always cracks me up, as if a tour like The MAYHEM Ball employs or financially supports one person and not hundreds.
