Will Madonna have a hit on COADF II?

Madonna herself seems hungry to have a great comeback with this album - rumored big budget MV, working on the album for years, follow-up to a beloved era, and she’s stayed away from negative press and publicity which plagued her thru the late-2010’s.

Her last hit was arguably in 2008 (even tho Gimme All Your Lovin went top 10 in 2012 and Bitch I’m Madonna was a streaming hit in 2015.)

Do you think she’ll have a hit during this album era?

I really hope so. A lot of people seem to have found a new appreciation for her after the hospitalization in 2024.

Probably not on the top 40 radio (unless that Sabrina collab is real), but she can get some padamic hits. Gays will trample one another to stream the album when it drops and if she manages to sustain it (videos would be very crucial here but I trust her), I think it'll be her most successful since MDNA. 

Now does a COADF 2.0 mean a Believe 2.0 sort of career revival? Idk. Madonna lost her cool factor a long time ago so she really needs to match the ubiquity of the first album to do that, which is a HARD thing to do.

Am I the only one getting tired of stans thinking first commercial success before even thinking about the music itself ? 

And I'm also saying this for Lady Gaga releases. Most of them are ruined by stans saying no to anything that is not matching their charts expectations.

Well, her first single is rumored to be featuring one of the hottest girl in pop right now, Sabrina Carpenter. And that she will bring Madonna up on her Coachella set this weekend. She can possibly make sizeable hit with it, especially if Sabrina's crowds are into that kind of genre, which is a genre that will totally new for Miss SC herself.

Well I hope so, but I'm not sure she will since dance music isn't very popular on the charts at the moment. Who knows maybe she will pull a Gaga in 2008 and popularize it again? I just hope it's good, but doesn't rely too heavily on the nostalgia of Confessions.

What do u classify as a hit? If u mean radio and streaming hit that goes top 10, its yet to been done by any pop star her age

 

If u mean well received and getting some buzz, then possibly
