Australian Police Officially Investigating Katy Perry Sexual Assault On Ruby Rose

Victorian detectives are investigating allegations by Australian actress Ruby Rose that she was sexually assaulted by US pop star Katy Perry in 2010.

In a now-deleted post on social media, Rose said the alleged assault took place at a nightclub in Melbourne's CBD.

The 40-year-old posted an update on Tuesday night, stating she had been requested by police to not discuss the case further.

"As of this afternoon, I have finalized all of my reports. This means I am no longer able to comment, repost, or talk publicly about any of those cases, or the individuals involved," she said.

In response to queries about the allegations, a Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed detectives were investigating reports of "a historical sexual assault that occurred in Melbourne in 2010".

"Police have been told the incident occurred at a licensed premises in Melbourne's CBD," the spokesperson said.

Perry has strongly denied the claims via a statement circulated to media outlets.
