Walk out and touch some grass please. Sometimes I wonder how people like you function on a daily basis. It can be very tiring. The performance itself was great. I've already seen it go viral on X and TikTok. I hope Coachella helps her break through a bit. People like me? People who don’t like racism? The only tiring part is when people try to tell me to forgive someone’s racism 2 hours ago, garbage day said: And Gaga used to use the r-slur, especially in interviews, and she's never even addressed it. Let's not enforce Tumblr dynamics. Those are not comparable words in the slightest. That word in America and the racism that comes with it has such a horrific history not close to being on par with the r-word. It is not enforcing tumblr dynamics to have morals. I’m a very forgiving person for artists most of the time. Usually because being an artist means having to navigate a massive web of bs constantly. But this is something done before she was ever a public figure or even close to being one. Something done 100% of her own volition for fun or entertainment. As such I just don’t trust putting any of my faith or support into her as artist. Using the word so consistently and constantly in such a targeted way. Paired with calling Normani a monkey? It’s just far too excessive to not impact my view of her
Kayi 2,987
FOR REAAAAAAAAL Slayyyter is so fckn brillant because the concept is good, the visuals are so great, the songs are mostly all addictive, AND THE VOCALS... I think I even prefer The worst girl in America to BRAT in term of popular 2020s electro-clash album. The melismas on Canibalism are so good, she plays with her voice, the way Gaga does too. Her vocal distortions when she speaks about emotional topics are everything. I didn't listened to Cobrah enough yet to decide if I like her music. But I can also recommand you to listen to DeathbyRomy : In my peace era.

That word in America and the racism that comes with it has such a horrific history not close to being on par with the r-word. It is not enforcing tumblr dynamics to have morals. The US government during the Vietnam war engaged in eugenics thorugh a program known as Project 100,00 (also called McNamara's 100,000/McNamara's Morons). Through this program they deliberately recruited soldiers via lowering the mental & medical standards for soldiers. People recruited via this, died at 3 times the rate of other Americans serving in Vietnam. They were regularly used as canon fodder and the project was initiated to prevent the US government having to go after young white men from wealthy backgrounds via the reserves or dropping the student deferment get out clause from the draft. In much of colonial America - children born with disabilities were seen as a divine punishment upon a family leading to exclusion, abandonment in almshouses or just outright murder. Then there was the introduction of institutionalization - there are thousands upon thousands of documented abuse against the institutionalized from the mid 1800s like the infamous Blackwell's Island. And there are still hundreds of cases of disabled people being abused in care settings at this very moment in America. There's also the "ugly laws" where numerous American cities made it illegal for disabled to be seen in public. Numerous American cities & states had forced sterilization projects targeting the disabled in this period as well. You are absolutely right about America having a horific history of racism - but don't start playing opression olympics about the way other minorities have suffered throughout history in the US. Especially when doing so from a position of clear ignorance. The gays know how to party

Like yeah she apologized when it came to light - but 16 is old enough to know racism is wrong and it definitely changed my view of her extremely So you can't look past a 15 year old edgelord saying the N word on Twitter when she was trolling ages ago. Yet you are an enjoyer of Lady Gaga who worked with sexual abusers, implied the victims of R Kelly were lying and performed in a country conducting a genocide? 99% of the population doesn't care about this nonsense anyway. Anyone claiming Slayyyter is "problematic" and they won't listen to her because of it yet spends time on Gaga Daily as a Little Monster shouldn't be taken seriously. But the last album & this album aren't really imo. Both girls are doing 00s throwback, but are now referencing different 00s dance music. And id also argue Slayyyter has become less hyperpop.
