Yeah cause after all, it doesn’t seem to be an important part of the movie. It’s just Lady Gaga singing during a fashion show, which is cool, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not giving Shallow or Hold My Hand importance in the context of the film

i'm interested to see how much screentime she has in the final film bc i asked my cinephile friend if he'd heard anything and he said...

the version from during test screenings of the film had Gaga mentioned by Miranda by name for the fashion show guestlist and a brief scene of Miranda and Nigel meeting her backstage when she's getting ready, plus they said the part that leaked of the song is all of the song in the film because it then cuts to Miranda leaving the fashion show because she actually has a love interest in the film who's her new husband (the scene from the trailer where Meryl is out in a city at night and the camera pans around her 360 is apparently from the setup of Miranda ditching the show to go see her husband, i won't spoil the other details because he basically told me the whole film plot from the test screening lol)

there is a chronological timeline for the era on her website and Requiem, although labeled with the infamous "soon", is displayed before Shape of a Woman, which is coming at the end of April (?). This is the only hint we have for a release scheduled for the next couple of weeks.

Edit: nevermind, I've checked again and they changed the timeline lmao now it's displayed as the first Mayhem-related event in 2026 because it happened in January: Grammys, the Super Bowl surprise and Mayhem Ball US were added before Shape of a Woman so yeah, we don't know **** about when it will come, brace yourselves for whatever.

Both Apple and Gaga will want some distance between it and the Mayhem Ball film.

Just like her saying at the premiere of Chromatica Ball "my fans hate when I say soon but its coming soon" about new music and we waited 5 months for a single and 11 months for the actual album

In my opinion, they made a huge space between Joker and Mayhem after Venice screenings just to make sure these two are separated and avoid bad press.
