Honestly I respect his talent but he needs to learn how to give up some parts of the process to others. 
Him trying to do all of the albums alone is whats keeping him down.

I personally really enjoyed the album, very nostalgic and feels like a great album for summer. You got to give it to Charlie, he has a great sense for melodies.

I feel like he’s too musically trained and knowledgeable about music and having perfect pitch. But the songs sound bland and derivative

He has called this album “Yacht Rock 2026” and it very much sounds like that kind of soft rock from the 80s. He even said this was his “dad music” era. He accomplished what he wanted to do. I don’t think he’s expecting this music to be a huge mainstream hit but I’m sure it will find its own audience.

In comparison, Slayyyter ( a practically unknown artist) had 4,215,819 debut streams. So yeah for Charlie, it’s pretty bad
