Honestly its kind of shocking to me that Kamala didnt run.

Is she seriously convinced she has a chance in 2028?

PERCHED to vote for Madame President in 2028 :flower:

Maybe Vance or Rubio won't be so bad and we can always try again in 2032 :bear:

That’s actually the least surprising of the three. Alex Padilla on the other hand? Huge fumble.

See I thought it made way more sense for Kamala to run and build a unique brand from scratch as that is what has repeatedly cost her when running for President.

Where as Padilla, is a on the up senator doing well for himself and building brand ID and relatively broad popularity despite being a moderate. It would have realistically been a demotion for him to run for Govenor & if he lost it would have put him at risk in the run up to his next senate election in 2028.

Tl;dr - Because Democrats can't organize for sh*t we might lose the governor's race in a state where Dems outnumber Reps 2-to-1 :saladga:

If Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, and other well known Democrats throw their weight behind a single candidate in the next few weeks to get just ONE of the Dems above ONE of the Reps then it'll be fine. But this is a ridiculous position to be in :saladga:

Girl, chill. If two republicans make it onto the ballot what you would see is a Republican winning with a historically low turnout. Then that Republican would be recalled expeditiously by Californians.

Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga are up for a Grammy.

Taylor has 40% of Grammy voters for her, Gaga and Billie both have 30% each.

If just 11% of non-Taylor voters would go for Gaga, she would win! But because the voters are splitting between the two good artists, Taylor has a chance at winning :bradley:

This is the clearest explanation yet thanks
