good! why would a person who hates attention want to get up on stage?

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Overreact much?  Why is he even chiming in on something so trivial?  Don’t you have better things to to concern yourself with?   Also, why is everyone reacting like this? Absurd.  Get over it.  We weren’t there, we have no context other than some man’s word.  It was a couple minutes when she was dining in a restaurant.  Let’s move on.  Geez.

Such a disingenuous read lmao. She loves to perform, but wants privacy in her personal life. Completely rational and fairly normal request, tbh.

I absolutely agree.

Still, there's something a bit strange with Chappell in the way that it seems she wants to play the game, but she constantly pulls the rug under people's feet. You don't attend every fashion week event under the sun in Paris if you don't like your picture taken, let's put it this way. I have similar feelings with celebrities complaining about LA, like... maybe don't live directly in the eye of the cyclone if you want to be left in peace?

I feel like Chappell wants her cake and eat it too. At some point, you either play the game or you don't. But you gotta make a choice.

Yeah, I agree. I think she should honestly just do what Gaga did which is build a rapport with the paps and agree to let them get a few shots at a specific time and then get your privacy when you want/need it. Same with fans: engage with them in very deliberate context so they don’t feel iced out and they have some access to you and, in doing so, yourself the latitude to create more personal space.

He says it's just while he's in charge of the city but the next mayor could agree with his stance and then it starts a chain reaction after that to just never allow her. But even if it is just temporary, the fact this was ever done will stick. Brazil isn't ever going to forget this. Their football fans never forget.

I'm still struggling to believe Chappell when she says that the security guard wasn't authorised by her to act that way but it's hella coincidental that she (someone who's known to take paparazzi to task and been rude to fans) was there when security decided to take extreme action. I've never heard of a security guard who reacted in such a disproportionate way towards a child doing nothing wrong. But know that they were guarding a celebrity who's famous for wanting to be left alone and it all lines up. For this to happen in a 5 star hotel, which was obviously crowded with rich people and maybe even celebrities, is wild. You'd think in these settings, everyone would be on their best behaviour as the person you've just started beef with could be influential or know someone who is and could ruin you. When the rich feel slighted, they don't keep quiet about it. No one knows what Jude Law's 11 year old daughter and her mother look like, but again, in a 5 star hotel, you don't know who you might've just insulted.

BTW, I just learned that this happened with a male rapper last year, and everyone has forgotten it. I guess when a women does this people want to call her more nasty and annoying. :oprah:

phantasmas

i think we should be more upset at her trying to pass off a rags to riches story like Lana and Gaga did in the beginning of their careers :reductive:
