Condemning Iran :lmao:

How about Israel and the US? Both knew this was Iran's only play in the event of an unprovoked attack and why tf would Iran back down now? They backed down after the last attack only to be attacked AGAIN for no discernable reason other than Netanyahu wanted to create a mess and Trump is a cuck.

Now what's really funny is they're only issuing this condemnation 'cause their pockets are hurting.

They can mention Iran striking "civilian infrastructure" but how about Israel and the US intentionally targeting hospitals, schools, refugees, and journalists?

Shameless.

Also they are too spineless to condemn the US who also needs to be called out but never is at the Sovereign level diplimatically. The US only gets criticism in Tik Tok, Instagram and this cult site I know called Gagadaily :madge:

I genuinely want to know what it would take for world leaders to acknowledge that all of this is Trump and Israeli leadership's fault.

What even is the play here? Like, how does this end? What reason would Iran have to trust any other country after this?

They make a deal with the US and the deal is torn up and they're met with sanctions and further isolated from the global market. They chill out aggression with Israel and they're met with bombs, god only knows why. They basically shrug off a baseless attack and their leader, along with thousands of innocents, are slaughtered randomly and a reason has yet to be given.

So they finally punch back the only way they can, hitting where it'll hurt (oil and natural gas production/transportation as well as military bases), and THEY'RE the ones being condemned here? Not the idiots that started this whole thing and continue to make peace impossible?

Iran isn't (and shouldn't) make peace here tbh. 'Cause the second they relent so other nations' politicians can save face with their constituents on devastating energy prices, the US and Israel weapon stockpiles will be replinished and they'll be attacked again.

Lord Mayhem

These leaders are only NOW condemning Iran because it's impacting their wallets and economy. While Iran may not be innocent, let's not pretend the US and Israel played no part in this extreme escalation of events while talks were ongoing...

Something changed with Trump...I actually think that people are afraid of Trump, and the US. At least that's what what I see in Europe. And you have the ones that actually agree with everything Trump says.  People around that condemn the war, are worried about prices skyrocketing... not about what's fair, what's moral or right.

Every day we see Trump in the new saying that Europeans can't defend themselves, that we are cowards bla, bla, and what can we do? Nothing. It's Trump's and Israel word right now... Countries in Europe just want energy prices to stop skyrocketing. I think European leaders are just living in fuc*ing dilema.

At the end of the day, starting such a war, just ultimately burdened Europe with economic consequences.

I actually think it‘s far more sinister than that.

I think these leaders know what he says behind closed doors, not just what Trump and his administration say publicly (and even that is a **** show), their intelligence agencies, military officials and diplomats know things we simply don’t. He‘s a mad man willing to risk a world war, a war the US would lose and at this point in time he would take the whole „West“ as a construct down with him.

He‘s clearly off the rails and unable to reverse course, accept that he was played and he completely miscalculated. Trump put himself into a corner he simply can’t survive politically, and he didn’t only put the US’s whole geopolitical power on the line, but he also risked Israel’s existence and Europe’s security and peace on the line, both are things that are nonnegotiable for the „West“, so these leaders have no choice.

I trust their judgment.

They said they'd secure the strait but didn't want to go in while the conflict between the US/Israel & Iran was at such a high intensity.

This joint statement just reads like a formalisation of that stance and a pact between these 20 nations.

But realistically they lack the diplomatic soft or hard power to stop the war, and the war hits them harder than it hits the US. It was inevitable they would be dragged in at some point.

They must feel that we're reaching a point where Iran's leadership and military capacity is neutered to the point it is safe for them to go in as military escorts for the shipping lane.

More sinister indeed....I do think that a man that blatantly treats allies the way he does  it's insane, I never saw something like that,  that's how you treat enemies.  And then  Europe just take it... I do believe that European leaders know more about  this of course.

What I don't get,  is how was he played to start this... Cause in this moment I can't see the benefits to him or the US.  Unless Trump thinks it's going to be easy to control such a vast country and access the resources.

What  disappoints me is that Europe can't escape this, and that we might have no other choice to just complie to his arrogance and ideias.
