Im curious, everyone talks about oil. Are every day products starting to be affected there? I know the passage is used for more than just exporting oil including imports

 

Gas is surging in my Country  (despite producing more oil than every OPEC Nation excluding Saudi Arabia) and everyone is unhappy . I think Canada is the only major net exporter of oil that hates high oil prices

 

But again my biggest concern is food inflation. Those fertilizers are so critical!

Hot take: If this makes societs less dependent on cars, like the pandemic made people more aware of personal space, there is a silver lining.

Even if you don’t drive this will still impact you because transportation costs will rise and that will mean higher prices for almost everything. Producing items itself will become costlier. 

Also, I get the pollution argument against cars but they are extremely useful? Like if you live outside a city and you have a family of 3, a car is basically a necessity at that point. I don’t think we are ever going to get rid of cars, they are absolutely needed. Rather than being anti car, channel that energy in pushing for more electric vehicles.

Saudi Arabias oil price stability is often managed by the state, so as of now, the economy and oil prices are stable. But if the war continues, it will start effecting us.

I am comfortable not channeling my energy and being anti the death machins that are cars thanks. They are weapons and kill millions of people and animals each year.

The average person should not have access to cars and America spreading its car centrism into the world is responsible for imense death and suffering. 

You should push for having a job and supermarkets in your vicinity like it is normal and was the norm across history.

I dont disagree with u in an ideal world but zoning and city planning has to change
