Because who on earth is going to write out The Devil Wears Prada 2 for every thread title (that will get cut off) or write it out every time we mention it in a post? Not to mention it’s pretty contextually obvious when you’re not pedantic.
 

I presume you’re writing all of Gaga’s album titles out in full on the site when contextually we know what TF TFM BTW all mean as do we know what CBT, TMB and BTWB all mean

how is her career dead when she just had a cameo role and feature song on one of netflix's biggest shows? they would not book someone with a dead career for that

I feel like people thought she was gonna focus on acting more and only started doing music again because of the negative press one of her movies got as if she can’t do both  it’s the ARTPOP treatment all over again, one minor critique and suddenly she’s over

I think she has no interest in performing on broadway she basically said so at the Mayhem release conference. She did say she’d happily write a broadway show and the music with other people for it. But she said she doesn’t want to perform 6-8 shows a week. Broadway is much harder than a tour because you don’t get a single day of rest you do a show every night and 1 matinee. Even at her worst touring schedule Gaga still had a day or two’s worth of breaks to rest her voice. And in the Broadway community it’s looked down on if you ONLY do 6 shows a week since the biggest and best stars they all look upto used to do 8 shows a week. (Gaga even responded with this at the Mayhem conference)

She also doesn’t have the tone or voice for Broadway, she has a distinctively theatrical voice but it’s still more pop/rock than theatre (hence why the critique she used to get in her teens was about this). Pop music execs and fandoms are more forgiving for theatrical voices than Theatre is for pop voices. Gaga has too much vibrato for a theatrical singing role. Her tone isn’t bright enough for the roles she likes.

She’s also too old to START training to be a Broadway performer, most Broadway performers spend their whole childhood preparing and become Broadway performers in their 20s and beyond.

and they totally misunderstood the joke too, Channing was mocking Will Arnett not Gaga, and was talking about her pre-ASIB, not now

it's really hard to write, produce and get a new Broadway show because you only end up on Broadway (and increase your chances of a Tony Award) by doing classically loved shows. Most new shows written for broadway almost always never end up on Broadway. You can get a Tony doing Off-Broadway though which is probably the closest she'll get.

I’m not saying it’s over, but right now her acting career is in a very bad state. She essentially has her name to save her.
