Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that allowing U.S. forces to use Romanian bases would be viewed as involvement in military aggression against Iran and would be unacceptable under international law. He added that such a move would seriously damage relations between the two countries, despite their historically friendly ties.
