Oscars aren’t GRAMMYs though, the Oscars awards commercial success of BOS more than actual writing or structure. Of course it lost to a Bond song because Bond movies are commercial successes almost always. The Hunting Ground was a fairly independent documentary with no cinematic release or push. Academy members are notorious for only voting for the most obvious BOS nominee. There’s a lot of heard mentality too so you almost never see nominees competing for it. It’s always the most famous song with no competition. She might make a strong contender, but all the songs that she lost to are just way stronger and way bigger than hers. They love choosing "overdo" winners and for her to be losing this much is wild. B) they're only nominating her songs because they're hers.
