FfFfFfFF 58,631
Since the beginning of the decade, the world experienced geopolitical crisis after geopolitical crisis. In Eastern Europe and the Middle East, we are seeing direct military confrontations between opposing blocs, accompanied by diplomatic tensions, economic sanctions, covert operation and acts of sabotage. 🌍🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇷 In the Middle East, Israel/US are engaged in open conflict with Iran and its Shia allies across the region, while Iran is striking states across the Arabian Peninsula and even beyond, like Turkey and UK bases in EU member Cyprus. 🌍🇪🇺🇺🇦🇷🇺 Simultaneously, EU/NATO are openly enganged in warfare with Russia through the ongoing war in Ukraine. Almost all EU countries are contribuing militarily to the war in some capacity and regional states like Poland and Romania are even often reached by Russian drones. As of March 2026, Europe, Western Asia and North America are all basically involved in warfare between 2 geopolitical aligments (US/NATO/EU/Israel vs Russia/Iran/regionally allied parties). Is this still not a world war? 🤔
dynamite 67,489
There is war going on but idk not quite, I feel like there wouldn't be any doubt if we were in an actual world war Or maybe I just associate war like WW1 / 2 Edited March 14 by dynamite Like a poem said by a neydy in red
shape of a rvfzme 1,927
I simply don't want any wars. The common man suffers the most, and I can't imagine the world heading in that direction. I wouldn't even wish it on anyone. 5
Emvee 8,858
There’s no direct combat between the US or the EU and Russia or China. In both conflicts, they are tip toeing around each other while Ukraine and Iran take most of the destruction. They’re proxy wars. In the end, these wars might be considered part of a bigger overarching war, but only if it ever escalates to direct war between the US/EU and China/Russia. And I really only see that happening if China seizes on US weakness to take Taiwan. That’s not likely in the near term. The calculus changes with every misstep that the US makes under Trump, and I feel like China would rather bide their time for now. Roughhouse Dandy 13,830
Not yet, but we're pretty d*mn close to one and if Israel/USA has any say? We will be soon. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
Skyana Rava 2,812
We are in what historically looks like early stages of past world wars. So in like 20 years we will look back and be like "oh yeah, 2026, that's when sh1t truly hit the fan" Edited March 14 by Skyana Rava 5
Bronco 27,405
I think we're in as close to a world war as the nuclear powers are prepared to tolerate. The gays know how to party
weed 79,275
I feel like we're not in a world war but the world is in a constant state of war... idk It's so weird to me how colonialism is pretty recent/many empires existed into the 1900s, but it feels like such a thing of the past/historical. but perhaps that's just to me? Idk! It feels like fingers snapped after WWII or something and we've reached the modern world. but it's really not that new... under 100 years ago England controlled India... that's so crazy! I wonder what the future holds, future wars and territories and etc.
EART HL I NG 1,556
Is it delusional of me to think we’ll live in fear of WWIII and die well before one actually takes place? Even with the powers acting as dire as they are, they’re too afraid of a full out world war to start one because we have enough warheads in the world to assure they themselves wouldn’t win either. They’re pussyfooting too much to really worry about a world war imo but hey, anything’s possible Edited March 14 by EART HL I NG
HeavyCapiLover 4,389
I mean, anyone that has studied history and geopolitics clearly see the signals, something IS going on, whether it is the pre-stage of a bigger direct conflict between world superpowers, or more of a new type of hybrid proxy wars. We are at the beggining of many geopolitical shifts in the world, and well, it honestly kinda makes. With the US slowly loosing their global leader status since a few years all while several new superpowers emerge, all while world ressources are getting each year tighter, a return to the ages of conflicts was bound to happen.
Lucas 31,474
I don't know if we are in one just yet but with the intense rise of fascism, we are surely heading to one. People are being fed with extreme right propaganda everywhere, facists are actively working to gain power and it's working. They don't do it without any reason, they must have a goal and plan, and it will be dark and people will die for sure. littlepotter 76,624
The war already started for me, I don't care what it's called. A lot of these "WW3" discussions are mainly just people who are thousands of miles away finding ways to make it about them. They see ppl die in the middle east and think only of how it may affect them lmao I am tired. Obviously discussions have to happen but all these "preparing for war" jokes and tiktoks piss me off, nothing will happen to you jessica from wisconsin chaeri pls
