I’m surprised, I would’ve thought that this was a slam dunk for them.

Then again, I don’t know if Chloe Zhao was the right person for this. I love her work, but she’s not necessarily a commercial director. Like, even though I think Eternals is overhated, the fact of the matter is that not many people liked it. Maybe she was trying to bring a more “artistic” sensibility to Buffy that didn’t work out.

Does this mean it's going forward with a different network? Even if it's not, that probably for the best. I just don't think there's any possible way it'd be good. These reboots rarely are.

I feel the same way, as an avid fan of the original series I feel it should just remain untouched.

Shouldn’t they like… air the pilot and then figure it out? Because if there’s anything we should’ve learned in the last 15 years from TV & Film is the opinions of test groups mean NOTHING lmao. X-men movies being a big example, the way they BUTCHERED Dark Phoenix just because of the test audience reception.
